The Department launched the DOE Memos Portal on October 1, 2025, and has completed the transition from the Legacy Notes Memos system to a modern SharePoint Online site.

Legacy Lotus Notes Moved to SharePoint on October 1, 2025

• Beginning Oct. 1, 2025 the Department began posting memos to the new DOE Memos Portal on SharePoint.
• Users are able to search memos by keywords, subscribe to email alerts for new memos posted targeted to audience role groups, forward memos, access the portal via mobile devices and more.
• How-to information and demonstration videos are available on the DOE Memos Portal.
• Legacy Notes Memos PDF documents will be transitioned to the new portal and remain accessible for reference through June 30, 2026.

December 31, 2025: Fully transitioned to SharePoint
• All new memos and still active Legacy Notes Memos are posted in SharePoint.

January 31, 2026: Archived memos accessible on SharePoint
• All recently archived memos and all inactive Legacy Notes Memos are archived in SharePoint.

June 30, 2026: Deactivate Legacy Notes Memos System
